What this vial is
This is the laboratory entry of the SEALAND components range: an 8 ml vial in matte black coated soda-lime glass, 20 mm across and 40 mm tall, sealed with a butyl stopper plug inserted into the screw neck and closed by an 18 mm aluminium screw cap. It is benchware for fragrance laboratories, quality benches and sampling programmes — the vial a perfumer's lab reaches for when a formula needs to be kept, compared and archived.
The aluminium cap comes in brushed silver or black, both sealing over the same butyl stopper, so the two finishes run as one stock line. It ships from stock with breakage-covered dispatch.
Why a lab vial belongs on a packaging site
Behind every finished flacon sits a bench full of trials: mod batches, concentration brackets, stability keeps. The matte black coating shields light-sensitive materials, the butyl stopper seals against evaporation, and the compact 8 ml format keeps a trial grid within arm's reach. Supplying the lab vial from the same factory as the bottle keeps the whole programme — bench to shelf — on one purchase order.
Dimensions and standards
One stock size: 8 ml in a Ø20 mm x 40 mm soda-lime glass cylinder with a screw neck. The closure is a three-part system — butyl stopper plug seated in the neck, closed by an 18 mm aluminium screw cap in brushed silver or black. Final drawings and tolerances are confirmed per order at sampling.
Customization options
Two cap finishes — brushed silver and black aluminium — run from the same stock position, and the smooth matte body accepts silk-screen marking for batch codes or programme names. Custom cap colours and mould work are quoted against the specification. Decoration starts from 1,000 sets.
Packing and transit protection
Vials ship in a master carton with protective divider cells, each vial seated in its own cell — the packing shown in the gallery. The listing's dispatch policy covers breakage in transit, and stock orders dispatch within 48 hours. Carton counts are confirmed with the order.
MOQ, samples and lead time
Standard stock: 500 pcs. With your logo or a custom colour: 1,000 sets. With a custom mould: 30,000 sets. Samples of stock vials are free of charge. Typical lead time is 7-30 days depending on specification and quantity; exact timing is confirmed with the order.
Quality checks
Before dispatch we check sealing performance of the stopper-and-cap set, thread function, coating finish on the black body, and dimensions against the approved drawing; packed cartons are checked before dispatch. Check results are available with your order on request.
Buyer questions
Is this vial a spray bottle?
No — it is a sealed laboratory vial: butyl stopper plus aluminium screw cap. It is benchware for labs and sampling programmes, not a consumer spray format.
How well does the butyl stopper seal?
The stopper seats into the screw neck and the aluminium cap clamps it down — sealing performance is part of the per-order checks, and samples let you test it on your own bench first.
Why matte black?
The coating shields light-sensitive materials and keeps bench trials discreet; it also resists showing fingerprints and bench wear.
Silver and black caps — can we split an order?
Yes — both cap finishes run from the same stock position, so they can be split within the stock MOQ.
What is the MOQ?
500 pcs for stock, 1,000 sets with your logo or a custom colour, and 30,000 sets if a custom mould is required.
Can I get a sample first?
Samples of stock vials are free of charge. Decorated or custom samples are quoted against the specification.
Tell us your quantity and cap finish and we will send samples of the silver and black versions before you commit.
